April 1: God is Holy | Read Isaiah 6:3. As you pray, praise God for his holiness and ponder what that means for your life today.
“God, today I praise you because you are holy and set apart from all others. No one is like you. No one matches your greatness. No one comes close to your righteousness.”
April 2: God is Creator | Read Genesis 1:1 and Revelation 4:11. Spend time worshiping God as Creator. Think of something specific he has created (i.e., the day’s sunrise) and give him glory for that act of creation.
"God, today I praise you for using your power to create this day. From the rising of the sun to the setting of the same, may your name be praised in my life today.”
April 3: God is Faithful | Read Lamentations 3:22-23 and praise God for his faithfulness as you recall specific times you’ve experienced that faithfulness.
“God, I worship you today because you are faithful. You do not change. You have been faithful in the past. I give you praise for (recall a time God showed himself faithful). I give you glory because you’re going to be faithful in the future.”
April 4: God is Love | Read 1 John 4:8 and think about the ways in which God has shown you the love he has for you.
“God, today I give you praise for the way you love me. As I reflect on your love for me, I recall (list a way in which God has shown his love for you), and I want to honor you for loving me in that way.”
April 5: God is Sovereign | Read Psalm 115:3 and ponder the strength and sovereignty of God. Think of times in which he has shown himself greater than the circumstances you’ve faced.
“Father, today I worship you because you are in control of all things. Even when things are out of my control, they are under your control. I praise you for being a sovereign God who is using everything I encounter in life to accomplish your purpose.”
April 6: God is Just | Read Deuteronomy 32:4 and meditate on God’s justice. Think of times when God “set the record straight” and proved himself as the one who gives vindication.
“Lord, today I praise you because you are righteous and true. In a world that is full of half-truths and whole lies, I worship a God who is always just and who, because he is true, will allow the truth to be revealed and will use the truth to set people free.”
April 7: God is Near | Read Psalm 34:18. Spend time praising God for always being near, regardless of your circumstances and or situations. Worship him for his ever-present Spirit.
“God, today I give you praise for being near. I worship you for your faithfulness in drawing me close to you so that I feel your presence. I glorify you because you are trustworthy to walk with me so that if I’m in a season when I cannot trace your hand, I can still trust your heart.”
